Job summary

MasterBrand Cabinets LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the swing shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) to service the facility, align belts and gear boxes, weld, and use hand tools to support site goals.

You will perform preventive maintenance, coordinate daily work, assist with equipment moves, and participate in continuous improvement through the MasterBrand Production System (MPS). Must lift up to 75 pounds and work in a wood-dust environment.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Mechanical skills including pneumatic and hydraulic.
  • Welding/fabrication experience.
  • Millwright certification preferred.
  • Ability to make judgments on diversified work.
  • Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out policy.
  • Clear communication with customers both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend and perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment.
  • Assist in safety maintenance throughout facility, offices, and on all company property.
  • Schedule, coordinate, document and log all daily and project work.
  • Design projects, specifically involving welding.
  • Understand all mechanical aspects of the equipment and how equipment interacts with each other.
  • Perform general cleaning around areas after maintenance work.
  • Assist with production & facility equipment moves.
  • Complete all work orders in the D7i CMMS.
  • Manage small-scale projects.
  • May perform Sander Technician duties.
  • Support Continuous Improvement by participating in and sustaining the MasterBrand Production System (MPS).

Job Description

Swing Shift - 3:00pm to 11:30pm

The purpose of this position is to provide maintenance services to the facility. This includes aligning saw blades, bearings, belts, sprockets and gear boxes; welding; use of a variety of hand tools for maintenance and repair to support the achievement of site business goals and objectives. This position requires the ability to work well with customers throughout the facility.

Qualifications
  • Requires a high school diploma/GED
  • Forklift certified and competent
  • Mechanical skills, including pneumatic and hydraulic
  • Fabrication (welding) knowledge and experience
  • Millwright certification preferred
  • Ability to make decisions requiring judgment on highly diversified work.
  • Knowledge of lock-out policy for facility equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers, both verbally and in written form.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to wood dust and cabinet-making-related materials.
  • Exposure to hot and cold elements due to a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Wearing of Personal Protection Equipment required: eye and ear protection.
Sensory/ Physical Requirements
  • Frequent speaking, hearing, near vision, far vision, and touch.
  • Frequent head/neck static position, rotation, flexion,and extension.
  • Frequent change in torso/back position, frequent stooping, bending, and twisting.
  • Frequent finger dexterity.
  • Frequent simple grasp, firm grasp, and wrist flexion.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and climbing of stairs and ramps.
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching,and carrying.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb step, extension, and stationary ladders to a height of 60 feet and perform effectively on a lift that will raise up to 20 feet.
