Job summary

AKG North America – Mebane, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift. You will respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot electrical circuits, perform carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC tasks, and help maintain facility safety and efficiency.

You will also conduct preventative maintenance, work with the supervisor to plan orders, and use CMMS software to track assets and repairs. Training and advancement opportunities are offered in a team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal trade program or apprenticeship in equipment maintenance.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in general repairs (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and air conditioning).
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and perform repairs across plant and office areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair 3-phase, single-phase, and DC electrical circuits.
• Carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical installations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and provide work-order updates to supervisor.
• Collaborate with supervisor to prioritize upcoming work orders and projects.
• Maintain knowledge of plant operations and safety/EMS procedures; use CMMS software.
