Job summary

BD is seeking a maintenance technician to perform maintenance on manufacturing equipment and building systems in a regulated environment, with emphasis on safety and cGMP compliance. The role is based at USA NC - Mebane and requires a 3rd shift (11pm–7:30am) with on-site presence.

A minimum of 4 days in the office per week is expected, with vaccination/testing policies as applicable. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 4+ years in automated conveyors, PLCs, NEC, CMMS, and strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, National Electrical Code (NEC), work order management.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment as necessary.
• Performs mechanical troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment as necessary.
• Performs preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems as scheduled or as needed.
• Performs corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems as required.
• Communicates effectively to ensure accurate communication and completion of work assignments.
• Works safely to avoid injuries, accidents, and contamination of products.
• Maintains proper documentation for work performed.
• Conducts equipment inspections to identify any adverse trends or potential safety hazards.
• Reports issues to supervisor and/or other appropriate personnel.
• Adheres to cGMPs and established FDA regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
