Job summary

Schwan's Company in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Maintenance Tech for the 3rd shift. Chinese bilingual preferred. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, ovens, mixers, and packaging equipment to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities include safe operation around production areas, following food safety rules, handling emergency repairs, and managing spare parts inventory. Minimum HS or GED, 0–2 years experience; up to 50 lbs lifting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. A two-year degree in a specialized maintenance trade preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete work orders and enter required paperwork into a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
• Follow food safety rules when working around production areas and use proper cleaning procedures.
• Handle emergency repairs to minimize downtime and restore production quickly.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory to ensure availability.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area in compliance with OSHA and company policies.
