Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd. in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability and efficiency of production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and minimize downtime to support continuous operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven industrial manufacturing maintenance experience in mechanical/hydraulic and electrical/electronic systems ( Injection Molding preferred ).
• Prior experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably automotive.
• Ability to use a computer to troubleshoot Keyence SR fixed mount barcode scanners.
• Ability to troubleshoot Keyence IV, IV2, IV3 vision sensors.
• Knowledge of changing IP addresses on a technician's computer (preferred).
• Understanding of safety relays, safety interlocks, and functional machine safety.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing light assembly mechatronics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair 24VDC sensors (photo-eyes, fiber optics, laser, proximity, color sensors).
• Troubleshoot and repair 480VAC equipment (contactors, relays, starters, VFDs, motors).

Responsibilities

• Identify causes of unexpected machine breakdowns.
• Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service on machines.
• Clean machines and parts; remove and reinstall as needed.
• Oil and lubricate moving parts for performance.
• Record and report damaged or worn parts.
• Install replacement parts for machines.
• Prepare reports documenting work performed.
• Maintain shop areas, parts, tools and supplies.
• Assist with new equipment installation or old equipment removal.
• Perform building and grounds duties (e.g., basic plumbing, snow removal).
• Follow organization standards.
