Job description

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping production lines running in top condition? We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our fast-paced food manufacturing team in Riverside, CA. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and preventive maintenance across a variety of processing and packaging machinery. Salary: $53,600 - $70,470 per year

Shift: Third

Work hours: 9 PM - 5:30 AM

Education: High School

Responsibilities

1. Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in the facility.
2. Set up and use machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill press, and milling machine to repair or fabricate parts.
3. Troubleshoot issues and repair failures of production and facility equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Food manufacturing experience required—must have a strong understanding of food safety regulations, GMPs, and sanitary equipment maintenance.
5. Complete assigned work orders and maintain maintenance areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
6. Utilize maintenance systems as necessary to complete daily, weekly, and monthly duties.
7. Operate material handling equipment safely.
8. Enter information into systems to document work order completion.
9. Provide support to the team in the predictive and preventative maintenance program.
10. Participate and actively support all plant initiatives.
11. Organize and define tasks with minimal supervision.
12. Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
13. Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.
14. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
