  • Pay: $32-36/hr + Shift Differential

Summary

Join a leading manufacturer in the food/confectionery industry. Candidates should have 2-3+ years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing. The Maintenance Mechanic will install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial food equipment across production, office, and utility areas.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Report food safety and quality issues to authorized personnel.
  2. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and relay logic systems.
  3. Perform preventive maintenance.
  4. Communicate equipment status to shift dispatcher.
  5. Move equipment using standard lifting and rigging methods.
  6. Work safely and professionally.
  7. Assess and develop solutions for work requests.
  8. Research parts needed for repairs.
  9. Follow company policies and complete work efficiently.
  10. Document work details accurately.
  11. Interpret manuals and schematics for troubleshooting.
  12. Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and management.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical/Environmental Requirements
  • Standing on concrete floors.
  • Wearing PPE (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, uniform).
  • Bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working extended periods.
  • Weekend work during peak seasons.
Knowledge and Skills
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2-year technical degree in maintenance or 5+ years of experience, with 2+ years in food manufacturing.
  • Basic math skills and measurement abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and schematics.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, PLCs, and fabrication.
  • Ability to operate shop and portable power tools.
Training
  • Safety, food safety, HR policies, and Maintimizer system training.
