Job summary

Carlisle in Bloomington, IN is seeking a maintenance technician on the 3rd shift to install, maintain, and repair CNC, electrical, and mechanical systems in an industrial setting. You will follow a rigorous preventive maintenance schedule and communicate issues to supervision and vendors.

Active participation in Carlisle Operating System (COS) initiatives and continuous improvement projects using lean and six sigma principles is required.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school and minimum of 2 years related experience and/or applicable training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six to twelve months of employment experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior CNC machine repair, preventative maintenance experience and/or training preferred.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on CNC, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, physical structures, piping and electrical systems in industrial environments.
• Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions; diagnose problems.
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
