Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick, ME seeks a Machine Repair Mechanic for 3rd shift. This onsite, full-time role focuses on maintaining and repairing machine tools and shop equipment to support production.

You will read schematics, troubleshoot hydraulics and pneumatics, operate basic machine tools, and ensure safety and quality. Applicants should have a high school diploma and relevant technical training, plus the ability to obtain an Industrial Vehicle license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years related experience or technical certificate/degree.
• Open to shift work and overtime.
• Industrial Vehicle license required.
• Able to work from heights up to 20 feet.
• Experience with mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, servomechanisms and reading engineering drawings.
• Technical school certificate or degree preferred.
• Proficient with SAP, Microsoft Office and ACE tools.

Responsibilities

• Repair, construct, overhaul or modify machine tools and related shop equipment.
• Set up and operate general purpose machine tools for parts and repairs.
• Read and interpret shop sketches and electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic/pneumatic systems and repair equipment.
• Set up and run lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders as needed.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and assist with electrical issues.
• Check and adjust machine tools for accuracy and alignment.
• Communicate with tradespeople and vendors to source parts.
