Job summary

Surge Staffing is hiring a Machine Assistant for the 3rd shift in Springfield, MO. You will assist with machine operation, support production goals, and help ensure quality products are delivered safely and efficiently.

Requirements include 2–3 years in manufacturing, strong attendance, attention to detail, and basic job-specific math and computer skills. Expect overtime as needed; pay is $21.03 per hour for a full-time position.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of stable manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong attendance and reliability are required.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and production processes.
• Basic computer skills for production documentation.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic manufacturing math.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup, calibration, and operation
• Support production by monitoring quality and ensuring products meet specifications
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting using hand tools
• Record production data, downtime, and maintenance information accurately using computer systems
• Follow established manufacturing processes and work instructions
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
