Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a 3rd Shift Machine Operator – Chips to join our Nottingham, PA team. This full-time role features a 11pm-7am schedule, Monday-Friday, with eligibility for a retention bonus up to $250 and solid benefits.

You will operate packaging machines, prepare lines, monitor quality in ERP, and support production with accurate data entry. Candidates should have 1–3 months of mechanical experience and be able to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• One to three months of related mechanical experience and/or training.
• Ability to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water.
• Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment.
• Good balance on slippery surfaces.
• Sustain concentration for up to 3 hours at a time.

Responsibilities

• Operate computerized weigh heads, Hayssen and TNA packaging machines, and Blueprint automatic case packers.
• Observe machines to ensure correct packaging film, product weight, price, and code date for package integrity.
• Prepare machines for production start-up, incl. changing rolls of packaging film and ink tape.
• Clean and sanitize plant and equipment including seasoning trays, machines, floors, ovens, etc.
• Ensure manufacturing data is entered and tracked in the ERP system.
• Update ERP records to reflect real-time production status, material use, and equipment maintenance.
• Enter production and manufacturing data into ERP, including raw material consumption and labor hours.
• Track inventory levels in real-time and coordinate with teams for material replenishment.
• Other ERP responsibilities and duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking a qualified individual for our Machine Operator position, joining our Nottingham, PA team!

• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• SHIFT: 11pm-7am
• Additional hours may be required due to business demands.
