Job summary

Rohrer Corporation in Ohio seeks a reliable press operator to support our printing line. You will review orders, determine ink, stock and equipment needs to keep production flowing smoothly.

You will assist with press setup, hang plates and blankets, maintain ink systems, and ensure top‑quality stock. Responsibilities include pallet handling, maintenance tasks, and staying attentive to detail for safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders to determine ink, stock, and equipment needed.
• Assist press operator with setup, hanging plates and blankets on press cylinders using hand tools.
• Maintain adequate paper stock of top quality for production.
• Pour ink into reservoirs and maintain ink agitator.
• Remove printed pallets with pallet jack and replace with empty pallets.
• Assist with periodic preventative maintenance duties.
• Pay close attention to small details throughout the process.
• Clean and maintain machinery and work areas for safe operation.

Job description

• Review work order or may receive verbal instructions to determine ink, stock and equipment needed for production.
• Assist press operator with press set up including hanging of plates and blankets on press cylinders using hand tools.
• Keep press supplied with paper stock of top quality.
• Pour ink into reservoirs of printing unit and maintains ink agitator.
• Remove loaded pallet of printed material from stacking mechanism using pallet jack and replace with empty pallet.
• Periodically may need to help with preventative maintenance duties.
• Pay close attention to small detail through out the process.
• Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
• Other duties as assigned
