Job Description

Sign-on Bonus: $1,000 paid across the first 90 days: $250 after 30 days, $250 after 60 days, $500 after 90 days. The role involves ensuring timely resolution of guest and associate situations, maintaining safety and security for all guests and staff, and ensuring shift routines and tasks adhere to Omni standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Respond immediately to emergency incidents and security requests.
  2. Monitor compliance with all Omni Hotels' Life Safety Programs, training, and SOPs; report deficiencies to the Director of Loss Prevention.
  3. Ensure the safety of guests, associates, and hotel property at all times.
  4. Enforce hotel policies and procedures courteously, tactfully, and firmly.
  5. Ensure proper completion of all security personnel functions.
  6. Assign shift personnel appropriately.
  7. Facilitate communication within the Loss Prevention department regarding daily events, directives, incidents, and shift change briefings.
  8. Review security reports for accuracy and timeliness.
  9. Maintain good relationships with all hotel departments to ensure efficient service.
  10. Report property deficiencies and safety hazards.
  11. Conduct thorough investigations and reports on incidents involving guests and staff, such as losses, thefts, and accidents.
  12. Coordinate guest room surveillance with the Director of Loss Prevention.
  13. Maintain and investigate discrepancies in the key control program.
  14. Keep security equipment clean and operational.
  15. Monitor lobby, restaurant, restroom, parking, and room service areas to control non-guest traffic.
  16. Report unauthorized hotel entrance/exits by associates.
  17. Check the cashier vault periodically.
  18. Inspect the exterior of the building regularly.
  19. Maintain communication with the Director of Loss Prevention.
  20. Understand all emergency procedures and radio codes.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of one year of professional Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience, or current state certification as a Private Security Officer.
  2. Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  3. Experience in Loss Prevention within upscale hospitality preferred.
  4. Obtain CPR, basic first aid, and AED certification within 90 days of hire.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  7. Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and performance.
  8. Must be 21 or older with a valid Driver's License.
  9. Pass pre-employment drug screening.
