Job summary

RRD in Laurel, MD is seeking a Printing and Bindery Specialist for the 3rd shift to operate multi-color offset presses and ensure color accuracy on challenging jobs. The selected candidate will join a team that supports Fortune 100 clients and high-volume production.

You will set up, adjust, run and maintain presses, review job specifications for imposition, perform make-ready tasks, apply color corrections, and conduct routine maintenance to meet strict quality standards.

Qualifications

Knowledge to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain offset presses to tight tolerances.
Read job specs and determine appropriate press usage and settings.
Read and interpret specs; identify press capabilities and materials needed.
Use a micrometer to mount and align printing plates accurately.

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a multi-color offset press for single-, two-, or multi-color work.
Review job specifications to determine press setup according to imposition.
Perform all make-ready tasks, inspect plates, install cylinders, and prep blankets.
Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specs.
Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press; perform minor repairs as needed.
Conduct periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
