Job summary

Marathon Cheese is hiring Line Workers for the 2nd shift at its Booneville, MS facility. Starting pay is $19.30 per hour, with a $1.00 shift differential for the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities include feeding cheese on the packaging line, weighing products, boxing and palletizing, and maintaining clean, safe work areas. Ideal candidates will read and write English, perform basic math, work well in a team, and communicate effectively while upholding GMP and SQF standards.

Responsibilities

• Pack cheese into boxes, stack on pallets and inspect seals and code dates.
• Understand and use box erecting, case sealing and labeling equipment.
• Perform sanitation of the work area and equipment as needed.

We are currently seeking Line Workers for Second Shift

Starting pay rate is $19.30 per hour. Shift differential is an additional $1.00 for 2nd Shift and $1.50 for 3rd Shift. We offer excellent and affordable benefits.

Line Worker's Duties

• Feed cheese onto state of the art production line for wrapping and packaging.
• Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF and established safety rules and regulations.
• Set-up scales, operate scales to weigh product for packaging.
• Ability to pack cheese product into boxes, stack boxes on pallets and inspect packages and boxes or good seals and code dates.
• Understand and utilize box erecting, case sealing, and labeling equipment.
• Perform sanitation of the work area and equipment as needed.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred . Education beyond High School would be a plus. Prior manufacturing and/or packaging experience desirable.

Working Conditions

Work inside a clean air-controlled manufacturing environment. Required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift 25 pounds frequently and 45 pounds occasionally.

Core Hours

1st Shift: Monday thru Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. *Saturday hours are generally 6:00 am to 12:00 pm.

2nd Shift: Monday thru Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. *Saturday hours are generally 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

3rd Shift: Monday thru Friday, 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. *Saturday hours are generally 6:00 pm to 12:00 am or until Sanitation is complete. Please note we have a Monday night start for 3rd Shift.

Saturday hours are dependent on production and staffing needs.
