Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Label Machine Operator for the Vestcom unit in Lancaster, TX. You will operate label machines and monitor equipment on a 6pm–6am shift, ensuring quality and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes mechanical skills, safety, and teamwork as you log materials in the ERP system and support continuous improvement across the line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of related manufacturing or machine operation experience.
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to analyze equipment performance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of a shift.
• Color vision proficiency to distinguish product variations.

Responsibilities

• Operate label machines efficiently to meet daily production deadlines while minimizing material waste.
• Use your mechanical aptitude to monitor equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and identify root causes rather than band-aid fixes.
• Maintain accurate logs of raw materials using our ERP system and ensure a zero-defect mindset through close attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and collaborate with the production team to ensure overall site health.
