Job summary

WACKER is seeking a Lab Technician for the 3rd shift in North Canton, OH to support development and optimization of RTV and silicone elastomer formulations. You will mix, process, and evaluate experimental formulations, and conduct mechanical and rheological testing according to ASTM/ISO methods.

The role requires 1–3 years in a lab or related field, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associates preferred.
• 1–3 years of laboratory, product development, quality, or related technical experience.
• Experience in chemical, materials, polymer, or manufacturing environments is beneficial.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical data recording.

Responsibilities

• Support development and optimization of RTV and heat-curing silicone elastomer formulations.
• Compound, mix, process, and evaluate experimental silicone formulations.
• Perform physical, mechanical, thermal, and rheological testing per ASTM/ISO.
• Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance of lab equipment.
• Document test data using laboratory information systems and reports.
