Job summary

WestRock Company is seeking a 3rd Shift Kitting Operations Manager to oversee warehouse and production operations at the Flint, MI site. You will guide order assembly, receiving, inventory control, and maintain safety, quality, and efficiency while driving continuous improvement and team performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of warehouse leadership experience (team lead or supervisor).
• At least 2 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and safety regulations.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily warehouse operations including routing/dispatch, receiving, inventory control, forklift operations, and transportation coordination.
• Supervise, coach, and develop supervisors and team leaders to ensure effective execution of daily activities.
• Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
• Develop and maintain a strong safety culture by enforcing policies, monitoring compliance, and partnering with safety leadership to enhance practices.
• Establish and maintain quality standards and performance metrics to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor warehouse performance and provide regular reporting to leadership.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation, reporting, and data entry.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization and oversee proper storage and inventory rotation practices.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement equipment and process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Develop and manage the warehouse budget, including forecasting and cost control.
• Operate machinery and equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot production equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance when required.
• Follow all established processes and operating procedures.
• Support team operations by stepping into production roles when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
