Job summary

WebstaurantStore is seeking a Short-Term Inventory Control Specialist (6 months) for our Cumberland, MD distribution center on the 3rd shift. This temporary role focuses on validating inventory data against physical counts and collaborating across departments to identify issues and provide proactive solutions.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.
• MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Run reports to identify inventory issues and resolve problems.
• Perform weekly cycle counts and search for inaccuracies.
• Adjust inventory based on physical counts and ERP research.
• Use forklift equipment to replenish pick bins with overstock.
• Identify and process damaged inventory to maintain accuracy.
• Ensure items are in correct bin locations after picking.
