Job summary

Data-Mail, Inc. in Newington, CT is seeking a Print Machine Operator for the 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. shift.

You will operate high-speed laser printing equipment under the direction of the Print Operations Shift Supervisor. Responsibilities include preparing material, inspecting quality, following job instructions, maintaining safety and production standards, and keeping accurate logs. This is an in-person role with overtime opportunities on weekends; expect lifting of up to 50 pounds and moving

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus a minimum of 2 years of work experience.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and moving heavy rolls.
• Follows safety procedures and quality control.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper procedures to prepare material, inspect quality and operate roll feed and laser imaging equipment in a safe, high paced and efficient manner.
• Follow prepared job instruction sheets and job guidelines.
• Inspect and maintain quality and accuracy for all printed output according to line-up sheet specification, i.e., proper form and print alignment, in accordance with Quality Control Procedures.
• Comply with production schedule as outlined by Procedure, and maintain production standards as outlined by Management.
• Master the operation of any digital print equipment assigned to run.
• Start and restart jobs and respond to console messages under supervision of Shift Supervisor and/or Production Leader.
• Prepare accurate documentation, such as meter readings on the segment control sheet, 24-hour production log, receiver tickets, etc.
• Assist in maintaining a clean working environment at all times.
• Comply with company rules and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.
• Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that may impact goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
