Job summary

Walmart Gas City Maintenance Shop is seeking a Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician on the 3rd shift to service trailers, tractors, yard trucks and shop equipment, ensuring safety and reliability.

You will complete work orders, identify parts, perform inspections, and document logs while complying with DOT and company policies.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver''s license.
• Brake inspection qualified as defined in the FMCSA regulations.
• Vehicle inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles)
• Create and process work orders; assess needs, identify parts, and select repair solutions
• Repair/replace brake components, wheel seals, and tractor-trailer tires per DOT requirements
• Communicate updates and complete required logs, records, and computer-based documentation
• Receive fuel drops, monitor safety compliance, and collect/prepare fuel samples and paperwork
