Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Sutherland, VA is seeking a Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and shop vehicles to keep Walmart Transportation moving and compliant with DOT standards.

This full-time role offers wage range of $30.50–$34.00 per hour, plus bonuses and benefits such as medical, vision, dental, 401(k), and life insurance. Shifts may vary as operations require.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Brake inspection knowledge per FMCSA regulations.
• Vehicle inspection knowledge per FMCSA regulations.
• Preferred: Microsoft Office/ASE Certification, DOT Transportation Certification

Responsibilities

• Keep Walmart Transportation moving by ensuring fleet safety and reliability.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and shop vehicles.
• Create and process work orders; identify parts and repair solutions.
• Document work progress and logs; communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Follow DOT guidelines and maintain shop safety procedures.
