Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a manufacturing associate to disassemble S60 & HDEP heads in our Byesville, OH facility. You will log, disassemble, and inspect head cores, following remanufacturing processes and standardized work instructions.

Relevant duties include operating computers and tools (hoists, torches, pallet jacks, presses, hand and air tools), adhering to safety/quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement. Relocation not offered for this position.

This position offers: Starting pay of $18.40/hr. up to top pay of $25.97/hr.* Quarterly gainsharing bonus potential *additional shift differential for off-shifts

What You Drive at DTNA

Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures. Log, disassemble, and ensure the quality of the head cores in a safe & timely manner. Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput. Disassemble head components for heavy-duty trucks. Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy. Operate the following tools and equipment: computers, hoists, torches, pallet jacks, presses, hand tools, air tools & lifting fixtures.

Knowledge You Should Bring

Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools. Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds. Must maintain a clean work area. Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures. Cross train on other jobs as required. Perform other duties as needed.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

• Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
• Previous mechanical experience
• High School Diploma / GED preferred and further college education a plus
