Job summary

Kelly Services in La Vergne, TN is hiring a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM). The role involves setting up grinding machines, inspecting parts, and maintaining safety and quality on a climate-controlled shop floor.

Initial training on 1st shift will occur for a few weeks before transitioning to the 3rd shift; training is provided. Starting pay is $19-$23 per hour with opportunities for advancement and a stable schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous grinding machine experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 33 lbs.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate grinding machines (Stahli or Blanchard models).
• Install, change, and dress grinding wheels.
• Inspect and measure parts for quality and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot basic machine issues.
• Complete production and inspection documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
