Harris Teeter is seeking a Forklift Mechanic Trainee for the 3rd shift (10pm start) to assist in industrial equipment repair and battery maintenance. You will use a computerized maintenance system to log work, disassemble parts, change batteries, and test performance of repaired equipment.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and quick problem resolution, with after-hours readiness and a strong focus on on-time maintenance in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret general professional information and procedures.
• Experience with maintenance databases and basic computer skills.
• Must provide and maintain own tool set appropriate for the job.

Responsabilités

• Assist in repair of industrial equipment and battery maintenance.
• Operate tire press, drill press, grinders, and battery changing equipment.
• Record maintenance activities using the computerized system.
• Dismantle and inspect parts, replace defective components, and test performance.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and attendance requirements.
