Job summary

Miller Industries in Michigan is seeking a Forklift Driver for the 3rd shift at our South Location in Fenton. You will operate a forklift to move structural steel loads up to 10 feet wide and 2,000 lbs with a 7 pm–5:30 am schedule and potential overtime to support production.

The role emphasizes safe material handling, teamwork with production, and maintaining clean, efficient work areas. We offer a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 2+ years' forklift experience.
• Experience moving structural loads and operating forklifts safely.
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Flexible, able to work under deadlines and manage priorities.
• Familiar with crane load charts and capacities.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklifts in accordance with safety guidelines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Size up loads and determine safe loading/unloading strategies to maximize space and time.
• Provide production with required materials, parts, and packaging.
• Return materials to designated storage areas after each production run.
• Transport finished parts to the next operation or storage location.
• Assist with setup and preparation for assembly operations.
• Load/unload parts onto fixtures and trucks as needed.
• Support quality control to ensure materials are in good condition.
