Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Material Handler for the 3rd shift at our Alabama facility. The role centers on handling and placing materials across departments to support production.

Responsibilities include driving a forklift, delivering materials to plants, checking deliveries against packing slips, and ensuring timely placement in the correct areas. Prior warehouse or construction experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Previous construction or warehouse experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Experience operating a forklift or forklift certification preferred, training available.

Responsibilities

• Drive forklift to move materials to and from loading areas.
• Provide materials to plant work areas as needed.
• Receive materials from vendors and verify against packing slips.
• Sort and place materials in designated locations for production.
• Rotate materials by date and ensure timely delivery to departments.
• Perform quality checks on incoming materials and report discrepancies.
