Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Generalist in Alabama to perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems in a fresh food manufacturing environment. You will ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance while supporting production, sanitation, and startup processes.

Qualifications

• 6 months of industrial maintenance experience in the last 12 months or verifiable schooling in a related industrial maintenance trade.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore operations quickly
• Complete corrective and emergency maintenance work as assigned
• Perform equipment adjustments, part replacements, and repairs to maintain optimal performance
• Follow work orders and document maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
• Conduct inspections to identify potential equipment failures, safety hazards, or maintenance needs
• Work closely with Production and Sanitation to coordinate maintenance activities
• Support sanitation and startup processes following maintenance work
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
• Comply with all OSHA, USDA, food safety, and Tyson policies and procedures
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and safe work practices at all times
• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
