Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, Inc in Algona, WA seeks a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical components of production and facility equipment.

Core duties include troubleshooting equipment (motor controls, drives, PLCs), repairing facility systems (pumps, HVAC), performing preventive maintenance, reading schematics, and completing electrical work. Must have 5–7 years in manufacturing and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

General mechanical skills with 5-7 years in manufacturing (food manufacturing a plus).
Electrical knowledge including blueprints and schematics.
Plumbing, water, gas, drainage systems.
Welding (ARC, Oxy/ acetylene)
Machining and Lathe operations.
PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers).
Knowledge of power tools safety and food safety practices.
Experience with tool sets and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment (motor controls, drives, ovens, packaging machines, PLCs).
Repair facility equipment (pumps, fans, air compressors, HVAC).
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs from schematics/drawings.
Do minor electrical installations.
Maintain quality and food safety responsibilities.
