Join us as a 3rd Shift Finishing Technician at Collins Aerospace

Location: HNY02: Engine Comp (Power) - Rome, NY, 13440 USA

Position Type: Onsite

Salary: $28.78/hr

Join Collins Aerospace, a leader in aerospace technology, to be part of a team that assembles, spray paints, balances, and tests complex components. The role involves working from blueprints, using power and manual tools, and measuring equipment to ensure quality. Training will be on the first shift for 3-4 months, with subsequent shifts from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities include:
  • Preparing materials and tools
  • Spraying and pressure testing parts
  • Sandblasting, assembly, and balancing
  • Conducting tests and inspections
  • Prepackaging and computer transactions
  • Machine cleaning and housekeeping
  • Supervising support technicians and obtaining necessary certifications
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical background preferred
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • U.S. citizenship required
Preferred skills:
  • Blueprint reading and measurement skills
  • Experience with hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Paint skills in aerospace or civil engineering industries
