Job summary

Conagra Brands in Archbold, Ohio is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support and maintain plant facilities and utility systems during the 11:00 PM–7:00 AM shift. You will troubleshoot, repair and install electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring continuous, safe operations.

The role requires a two-year technical degree or equivalent maintenance experience, with knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, pneumatics, hydraulics and HVAC/refrigeration systems.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, pneumatics, hydraulics, refrigeration, boiler and HVAC systems.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred, including familiarity with process safety, sanitary design, 5S methodologies and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support plant facilities and utility systems including ammonia refrigeration, air compressor, sanitary wastewater, nitrogen, fire sprinkler, pump, water, wastewater treatment, HVAC, fryer burner and safety systems, boiler and steam, hot water and high-pressure systems, and cooking controls.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the building.
• Plan alternate activities to maximize opportunities during downtime or delays.
• Partner with production, engineering, R&D, contractors and other groups to support new processes and plant trials.
• Maintain records and inventories and keep work areas organized and clean.
• Follow safety, OSHA, GMP and 5S standards.

Job description

Shift: 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
Hourly Rate: $31.18 an hour + $.75 shift differential
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will help maintain the facilities and utility systems that support production at our Archbold, Ohio manufacturing facility. You will ensure plant facilities and utility systems remain operational, identify and complete repairs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support continuous plant operations while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Hourly rate of pay: $27.55 - $33.73 - based on experience.
A Taste Of Your Responsibilities

• Support plant facilities and utility systems including ammonia refrigeration systems, process safety management programs, air compressor systems, sanitary wastewater drain systems, nitrogen systems, fire sprinkler systems, pump systems, city water systems, wastewater treatment operations, heating ventilation and air conditioning systems, fryer burner and safety systems, boiler and steam systems, hot water and high-pressure systems, cooker temperature and pressure controls, plumbing, and facility repairs.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the building.
• Plan alternate activities to maximize opportunities during unscheduled downtime or work delays.
• Partner with production, central engineering, research and development, contractors, and other operational groups to support new processes, production lines, and plant trials.
• Maintain records and inventories while keeping work areas organized and clean.
• Follow company safety policies, Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements, good manufacturing practices, and 5S standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ingredients Required For Your Success

• Two-year technical degree in a related field or equivalent maintenance experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment and facility utility systems.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers, frequency drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, refrigeration systems, boiler systems, and heating ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred, including familiarity with process safety, sanitary design, 5S methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
