Job summary

Franklin Electric Co. is seeking a 3rd Shift Extrusion Operator in Madison, Wisconsin. You will set up and operate XP and UPP extrusion lines for multi-layer nylon pipe and related tasks, with prior pipe extrusion and mechanical aptitude preferred.

Responsibilities include following assembly instructions, meeting daily production goals, maintaining quality, and training new employees. A high school diploma is required and lifting/physical duties apply.

• Provides on the job training to new employees.
• Insures all products are produced to the highest quality.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

3rd Shift Extrusion Operator

Department: Manufacturing / Operations / Quality

Reporting To: Mac McAdory

Compensation: $20.00 / hour

Description

Responsible for set-up and operation of XP and UPP extrusion lines (multi-layer, multi-extruders nylon pipe) and other extrusion duties as required and time permits (pipe reeling, reel building, etc.). Previous experience in pipe extrusion is preferred. Previous experience in a position needing mechanical aptitude is required.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
• Previously experience in extrusion (preferred)
• Demonstrated/previous mechanical aptitude (required)

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

• Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; stand.
• Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; push or pull; walk.
