Job summary

Franklin Fueling Systems is seeking a Warehouse Associate to manage inbound and outbound shipments, receiving, and verification against packing slips and POs. You will prepare and fulfill work orders, stage shipments, and support Kanban replenishment to maintain smooth production flow.

Responsibilities include moving inventory, updating systems, and keeping accurate counts. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, quality, and efficient operations in a manufacturing

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • 6+ months experience in shipping/receiving preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Respirator fit testing may be required upon request.

Job description

Responsible for the handling and processing of shipments, receiving, work orders, pick slips, transporting inventory, Kanban replenishment and maintaining accurate inventory locations and counts throughout the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the accurate and efficient handling and processing of inbound and outbound shipments. This includes receiving, inspecting, and verifying materials against packing slips and purchase orders; preparing and fulfilling work orders and pick slips; and ensuring timely staging and shipment of goods.
  • Performs material movement activities such as transporting inventory throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment, supporting Kanban replenishment systems, and maintaining proper stock levels at designated locations.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts, updating system transactions, and ensuring inventory is properly labeled, stored, and organized. Works to identify discrepancies and support corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ensures compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, planning, and procurement, to support operational needs and meet customer expectations.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Skills and Abilities
  • Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
  • Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
  • 6 months or more experience working in shipping or receiving (preferred).
Computer Skills
  • Basic: Barcode scanner.
Certificates and Licenses
  • Forklift Certification (preferred).

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with occasional accurate depth perception and distance viewing.

  • Specific speech abilities regularly required by this job include comprehensible speech.
Work Environment
  • This position is subjected to harmful environmental conditions and is located in a manufacturing type environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This position is frequently exposed to extreme heat, vibration, and moving mechanical hazard; and infrequently exposed to wet/humid conditions.
  • This job consists of shift work up to 10 hours per day and may be required to work overtime as needed.
  • Respirator fit testing and equipment is provided upon request of the employee.
