2nd Shift Electronics Assembler

Department: Manufacturing / Operations / Quality

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: US - Wisconsin - Madison

Reporting To: John Bowser

Compensation: $19.00 / hour

Description

In this role you will be responsible for the safe handling, inspection, assembly, packaging, and preparation of sensitive electronic components and electrical panel assemblies for shipment. This role involves mounting components, running wires between components, and completing final assembly of metal enclosures while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Label, sort, and organize packaged materials for inventory and distribution.
  • Ability to follow and understand assembly instructions, including drawings, prints, and electrical schematics.
  • This position will occasionally be asked to assist in employee development and continuous improvement.
  • Follow established work instructions, packaging specifications, and quality standards.
  • Test and troubleshoot equipment and take corrective measures as needed.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment and make corrective measures if needed.
  • Understanding of electrical hardware design, with associated drawings and bill of materials.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Skills and Abilities
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable electrical standards such as NEMA, NEC, UL, IEC.
  • Must have ability to work efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Wire panel devices according to provided electrical schematics.
  • Route and bundle wires and cables neatly and according to established electrical standards.
  • Check work to ensure error-free products.
  • Keep red-lines of any changes required during manufacturing and turn in to supervisor on completion of the project.
  • Maintain a neat, efficient and safe workplace.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, packaging, or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
