Job summary

Xanitos, Inc. is seeking a 3rd shift EVS Manager for Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX. The role oversees Environmental Services staff under the Unit Director, coordinating with hospital departments to ensure top-tier service and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include staff interviews, scheduling, QA checks, training, disciplinary actions, and maintaining sanitary, orderly environments while promoting Xanitos’ culture and management philosophy.

Qualifications

• Vaccination against COVID-19 as a term of employment, with medical or religious exception per policy.
• High School diploma required; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work some differing shifts.
• Strong service/quality attitude and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Windows-based office software.

Responsibilities

• Participate in staff selection process and interview candidates as needed.
• Schedule days off, holidays and vacations to meet account needs.
• Assign personnel to established work areas or projects.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory.
• Ensure staff receive proper orientation, training, and ongoing education.
• Provide guidance and motivation to staff to maximize performance.
• Discipline staff per progressive discipline guidelines and handle reports.
• Prepare disciplinary notices and conduct follow-up as required.
• Maintain an environment that is sanitary, attractive and orderly.
• Promote Xanitos culture, values, and management philosophy.
• Demonstrate leadership in meeting performance plans.
