Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, seeks an Electrical Test Technician for the 3rd shift to validate performance, safety, and reliability of power distribution equipment. You will conduct tests on transformers, switchgear, and other components, analyze data, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of electrical testing experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, hipot testers, power quality analyzers).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; able to work third shift independently.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical tests on transformers, switchgear, and power system components.
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Operate and maintain electrical testing equipment.
• Analyze and document test results.
• Investigate test failures and implement corrective actions with engineering/manufacturing teams.
• Calibrate and verify testing equipment.
• Maintain safety and testing standards.
• Communicate test status and issues to stakeholders.
