Rhino Foods, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Team Member for the 3rd shift (11:00 pm – 7:00 am, Sunday pm – Friday am) in Burlington, VT.

The role involves loading/unloading contract trucks, supplying production lines, and moving finished products to ensure daily goals are met. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, flex spending, 401(k) match up to 4%, wealth sharing and bonuses, 15 days off, 9 holidays, and a floating holiday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in food production or manufacturing preferred.
• Upon hire, required to complete PIT certification (forklift, power walkie, etc.).
• Ability to work as a respectful team member within a collaborative team.
• Ability to utilize email, Microsoft applications, and other internal software for daily communication between facilities, shifts, and departments.

Responsibilities

• Gather and organize necessary materials, packaging, and supplies according to production specifications.
• Plan the order in which materials are loaded onto trucks and the frequency of deliveries needed to the distribution center based on production schedule.
• Load trucks with finished goods.
• Load pallets and operate pallet wrapper.
• Properly report, remove, or correct damages prior to transfer of material.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials within the warehouse.

As a Distribution Team Member, you will support the distribution team in a fast-paced environment that runs smoothly and effectively. Flexibility is essential in Rhino’s ability to respond to short-term demands and ensure smooth operations during busy times. You may be involved in voluntary overtime or temporary assignments that result in extended shifts, weekend shifts, work completed on a different shift, or at another Rhino location, based on business needs.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

This position involves working within a production and warehouse environment. This environment includes exposure to variable temperatures, including heat and temperatures as low as 15 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 degrees for Warehouse facility). Requires constant standing (8 hours a day), prolonged walking, and frequent/repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, pushing/pulling; prolonged contact with frozen food items, water, detergents, sanitizers, and allergens such as peanuts; machinery noise. Requires lifting and carrying up to 62 lbs. between the floor and 50” high and lifting 40 pounds overhead. Compliance with OSHA and industry standards includes wearing required PPE such as steel-toe production boots, nitrile gloves, face protection (when appropriate), hearing protection, and hair and beard nets. All jewelry and adornments on the hands, wrists, and above the neck must be removable and off while in production areas.
