Job summary

Performance Foodservice seeks a Truck Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift in Fort Worth, TX. You’ll perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers, and reefers, diagnose issues, and document all work in the Enterprise Asset Management system. Road call duties may be required, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs.
• Experience with tire & wheel, brakes, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Complete and perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, reefer units) and inspect for basic failures.
• Identify root causes of failures and perform repairs as required.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to roadworthiness.
• Document work orders thoroughly in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and other critical parts; replace as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and use of hand/power tools.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
