Job summary

Wedgwood Christian Services in Grand Rapids, Michigan is looking for a Part-Time Developmental Care Specialist to provide direct care within our residential program for adolescent boys. This role involves helping youth build resilience, supporting daily operations, and implementing individualized treatment plans. Candidates must be at least 20 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and align with our Statement of Faith. Compensation ranges from $20.50 - $22.50/hour with holiday pay and employer-paid training.

Qualifications

• At least 20 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and safely perform physical interventions when necessary.
• Alignment with Wedgwood's Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with therapists and case managers.
• Create and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Build mentoring relationships using trauma-informed approaches.
• Utilize verbal de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques.
