Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. is seeking a Copperbond Operator for the 3rd shift in Waterbury, CT. The role focuses on safe operation of copper alloy equipment, quality control, and adherence to production standards.

The position is on-site with a schedule of 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, paying $29.30–$34.14 per hour plus a $0.55 shift differential. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided to support work-life balance.

Wieland is hiring a 3rd Shift Copperbond Operator. The Copperbond Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in the copper and copper alloy manufacturing process. This role emphasizes safety, quality control, and adherence to operational guidelines while working in a team-oriented environment. This role is located in Waterbury, CT, and will be fully on-site.

Hourly Pay Range: $29.30/hr to $34.14/hr

Shift Differential: $0.55/hr 3rd shift differential

Work Schedule: 3rd shift- 11:00 pm to 7:00 am

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities

Copperbond Operator Responsibilities:

• Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
• Follow PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and JSP (Job Safety Practice) documents.
• Read, understand, and follow all work instructions specific to the equipment.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Start-up and shutdown line, including on and offline solutions.
• Detect and report faulty operations, improper material, and unusual conditions.
• Record and log all operating data using formulas, production guidelines, QA specifications and SPC data.
• Treat solutions in preparation for discharge.
• Monitor inventories.
• Perform other similar or related duties or flex to other areas of the plant as required.

Copperbond Operator Qualifications:

• Ability to read and write English.
• Good attendance record.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to maintain production records and logs.
• Employment record reflecting reliability.
• Ability to perform simple math, addition, and subtraction.
• Must pass pulmonary fit test for respirator use.
• Ability to interpret technical data and run programmable equipment.
• Excellent decision-making skills and organizational ability.
• Mechanically inclined, comfort level with using small hand tools.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
