Job summary
Palermo’s Pizza is seeking an experienced Controls Technician for 3rd shift to support a high-performing maintenance team in Milwaukee, WI. The role focuses on troubleshooting and maintaining advanced control systems and performing panel building, schematics, BOMs, and PLC/HMI programming.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automation, knowledge of AB ControlLogix and PanelView, and strong electrical standards (NFPA 70/79, UL 508A).
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Automation, Industrial Controls, Electro-mechanical, or similar.
- Five+ years in industrial manufacturing design/installation of control systems.
- Experience with ControlLogix/CompactLogix, PanelView, Kinetix, PowerFlex, and safety relays.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL 508A electrical standards.
- Familiarity with EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, IO-Link, CIP Safety, and managed ethernet switches.
- Strong communication skills and team collaboration with controls/maintenance teams.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment.
- Design, fabricate and install controls systems to UL 508A standards, including panel building and PLC/HMI programming.
- Apply electrical knowledge to AB PLCs/HMIs, motion controls, and VFDs; collaborate with teams.
