Job summary

McGard LLC in Orchard Park, NY is seeking a Mill Operator I for the 3rd shift (10:30PM-7:00AM, Sunday-Thursday). The role involves setting up and operating manual/automatic mills, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality with calipers and micrometers. Overtime may be required and benefits are offered.

The position offers an hourly range of $18.50–$21.00 with a 20% shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package including 401k, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong math and mechanical aptitude.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and G-code.
• English communication skills required.
• Prior CNC milling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate milling machines to mill surfaces on metal work pieces.
• Verify lot cards have prior operations signed off.
• Load cutters and set cutting speeds, feeds, and depths of cut.
• Verify milled parts with measuring instruments.
• Maintain fluid levels and coolant flow; keep area clean.
