Job summary

CTDI is seeking a hands-on technician for the 3rd shift to work on CATV head-end equipment and set-top box technology in Haslet, TX. You will learn quickly, work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining CATV head-end gear, preparing test procedures for STB repair, supporting tools and processes, and communicating with customers on NPI work.

Qualifications

• Strong time management and ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to prioritize tasks from multiple departments.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Effective communication with diverse teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Understanding analog, digital and microprocessor circuits.
• Familiarity with CATV, DOCSIS, and RF formats.
• Familiarity with IP networks and Linux is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain CATV head-end equipment.
• Prepare test procedures for STB repair and clean and screen processes.
• Support tools and processes to optimize STB testing and repair processes.
• Maintenance of mechanical equipment (conveyors, robots, motors, pneumatic devices, etc.).
• Interface with the customer on NPI work for new STB models.
• Analyze requirements and effort for test systems and STB repair processes.
• Generate documents like test procedures, schematics, flowcharts, status reports.
• Support local branches on technical requirements and consult with other branches.
• Other duties as assigned.
