Summary

The Caregiver provides personal care and incidental Activities of Daily Living to RCAC, CBRF, and/or Memory Care residents of Capri Communities LLC, adhering to organizational and regulatory requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Adhere to the written Resident Care Plan to assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting, nutrition, meal prep, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment.
2. Assist residents with mobility and transfers.
3. Administer medications and maintain related reports.
4. Perform delegated tasks as instructed by qualified staff.
5. Follow healthcare standards and practices.
6. Assist with housekeeping duties in resident or common areas.
7. Lead or assist with resident activities, scheduled or impromptu.
8. Observe and report resident conditions and safety hazards promptly.
9. Document observations and activities accurately and timely.
10. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
11. Organize shift duties to promote resident well-being.
12. Protect residents' health information per HIPAA and legal standards.
13. Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
14. Stay updated on State Regulations and DHS requirements.
15. Attend mandatory meetings and training.
16. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Qualifications

1. High School diploma preferred; not required.
2. Six months of experience as a caregiver or similar.
3. Completion of CNA or CBRF certification preferred.
4. Reliability and flexibility to work holidays and weekends.
5. Patience, understanding, and emotional/physical ability to meet residents' needs.
6. Knowledge of building regulations, DHS requirements, and compliance standards.
7. Ability to promote resident satisfaction and safety.
8. Compliance with training requirements in Relias and other platforms.
