Job summary

Harbor View Assisted Living is seeking a 3rd Shift Full-Time Caregiver to join our team and assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. The role emphasizes resident independence, dignity, and professional conduct to support our CAPLICO Core Values.

The ideal candidate has direct care experience, meets age requirements, and preferably holds CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Prior direct care experience preferred.
• Meets age requirements per facility policy and state regulations.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, mobility and grooming.
• Encourage resident independence and preserve dignity through respectful interactions.
• Report changes in resident condition to supervisors promptly and accurately.
• Support socialization and cognitive engagement for residents.

About the Opportunity

The Caregiver supports residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. Encourages resident independence, supports resident choice and preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.

• Exhibits a positive customer service attitude as demonstrated by being approachable, friendly, and willing to assist others.

• Displays personal initiative to complete work without constant supervision.

• Demonstrates consistent work attendance as scheduled and addresses work related problems with the proper individuals.

• Communication skills that include careful listening, being sensitive to other people’s thoughts and feelings, giving thoughtful responses, and the timely and accurate reporting to appropriate people.

• Maintains confidentiality of both resident and staff information.

• Must present with a neat, clean appearance.

• Participates in designated facility in-services. Help new staff learn job tasks and responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior direct care experience preferred.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Current CPR certification preferred.

• Meets age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.
