Job summary

Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc. is seeking a Shift Leader at our Dayton, TN facility to direct Assembly personnel toward daily production goals and long-term projects. You will own departmental strategy execution, train mechanics, and promote BAC values while ensuring safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with multiple departments, manage resources to meet schedules, and lead continuous improvement efforts, including LEAN and 5S initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory/management roles with delegation and follow-up.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Proven ability to develop high performing teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Lean manufacturing and 5S knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and data metrics.

Responsibilities

• Owns personal and team safety. Ensures proper safety equipment is used.
• Fosters a culture of continuous improvement in the department.
• Coordinates manpower to achieve Assembly Line goals.
• Backs up Team Lead when required and delegates tasks.
• Ensures clear communication to department employees.
• Understands operation of current Assembly equipment and methods.
• Assigns objectives with Team Leader and provides quarterly feedback.
• Partners with other departments to ensure timely material delivery.
• Safely operates jib/overhead cranes to move components.
• Leads meetings and promotes LEAN/5S excellence.
• Meets or exceeds production goals and provides shift coverage.
