Job description

General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a 2nd Shift Assembler/Material Handler for its location in Mt. Pleasant, PA.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to design and manufacture high-quality, cost-effective Dead Tank Breakers that exceed customer expectations.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Assemble sub-assemblies and complete assemblies using hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, and set up machines.
2. Assemble wires and perform necessary repairs.
3. Prepare assemblies for painting and touch up painted surfaces after assembly.
4. Ensure correct and neat appearance of wiring and assemblies, including adjustments, operation, and lubrication.
5. Read and interpret detailed assembly drawings and wiring diagrams, working within specified tolerances.
6. Move and load materials and products as needed.
7. Report machine maintenance and repairs to the supervisor.
8. Complete daily timecards and report completion of assemblies; use hand trucks, power trucks, or other devices to move equipment and materials.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work area; care for equipment and tools.
10. Assist with on-the-job training and perform other duties of similar or lower classification as directed.
11. Follow safe work practices and properly use personal protective equipment.
12. Count pieces, report shortages, excesses, spoilage, and malfunctions to the supervisor.
