Job summary

Intertek in La Crosse, WI is seeking a qualified 3rd Party Inspector for Static Equipment/Cold Box Heat Exchangers. You will conduct visual inspections, nondestructive testing, dimensional checks and coating inspections at vendor shops or on-site facilities, with up to 50% travel to client sites.

Experience in quality control, experience with pressure vessels and lifting equipment is preferred, and a strong safety mindset is essential for this field role.

Qualifications

• CWI preferred, but not required.
• 5+ years of third-party vendor inspection, expediting or auditing experience.
• Experience in quality control inspections and tests including NDT, mechanical testing, dimensional inspection, pressure testing and coating inspections.
• Must have travel ability across the continental US.
• Proficient with basic procurement and fabrication processes in oil and gas.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections or audits and review testing for conformance to client specs and standards.
• Review material test reports for conformance with codes and standards.
• Follow up on dispositions and corrective actions related to non-conformances.
• Document inspection activities in electronic formats.
• Evaluate project quality procedures and ensure adherence by all parties.
• Review ITPs to determine required surveillance and witness points.
• Carry out inspection visits personally or via third-party resources.
