Job summary

Intertek seeks a 3rd Party Inspector for Static Equipment/Cold Box Heat Exchanger in La Crosse, WI to join our Technical Inspection Services team. Perform visual inspections, material testing, and ensure conformance to client specs and industry standards.

Role requires up to 50% travel across the continental US, with responsibilities including reporting, reviewing test data, and managing non-conformances. NDT, coatings, and pressure vessel experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• CWI preferred, but not required.
• 5+ years of third-party vendor inspection, expediting or auditing experience.
• Experience in quality control inspections and tests including nondestructive testing, mechanical testing, dimensional inspection, pressure testing and coating inspections.
• Technical training in quality, NDT, blueprint reading, auditing, expediting, materials, welding, coatings, electrical components, instrumentation, pressure testing, well control, equipment operation and assembly.
• Must have experience with Mechanical/Pressure Vessels and lifting equipment.
• Basic knowledge of material properties.
• Understanding of procurement and fabrication processes with knowledge of codes for oil and gas industry.
• Ability to travel frequently across the continental US.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections or audits and reviewing testing for conformance to Client specifications, industry standards, and approved procedures and reporting of results.
• Review material test reports for conformance with applicable codes and standards.
• Follow up on dispositions and corrective actions related to non-conformances.
• Document inspection activities in electronic formats.
• Evaluate project quality procedures, standards, and specifications to ensure all parties adhere to them.
• Review Inspection & Testing Plans to ensure a standardized minimum surveillance level per contractual requirements; identify required inspections and tests.
• Carry out inspection visits as per ITPs, either personally or through 3rd-party resources.
