Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited college/university.
• Must be fully licensed as an Elementary Teacher (00025).
• Strong background in North Carolina Course of Study/Common Core.

Responsibilities

• Provides learning experiences and teaches the course of study prescribed by the District approved curriculum.
• Develops and uses instructional materials suitable for verbal and/or visual instruction of students with a wide range of maturity.
• Provides individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and motivate students.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student control to achieve effective participation.
• Evaluates the academic and social growth of students and keeps appropriate records.
• Communicate with parents through a variety of means and hold conferences to discuss progress.
• Identifies student needs and cooperates with other staff to help solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
• Creates an effective learning environment with displays and centers; uses technology effectively.
